Shiraz fruit from our premium block. Whole berries with 15% whole bunches added to build structure and complexity. Fermented in small open fermenters with twice daily punch-downs. Matured in French and Hungarian hogsheads with 20% new barrels. Tasting Notes: The nose bursts with vibrant mulberries, blood plums and black cherry. This lush fruit is complimented but subtle spice - cinnamon, pepper and allspice - and a hint of fine oak. Medium bodied, this is built around bright blue fruits with fine tannins and a silky, lingering finish. Sophisticated, but so drinkable; Margaret River. Deep plum colour with aromas of rich mulberry and a skein of pepper grind, followed by blackberry and layers of cedar and vanillin oak.
