Cabernet from our top performing block. Fermented in small open fermenters with regular hand plunging then matured in French barriques, 20% new, for 18 months. Tasting Notes: Blackcurrants, cherries, cedar, graphite and spice. This could be nothing but Cabernet. While the palate is packed with vibrant fruit, its also medium bodied, sophisticated and elegant. Fine but firm tannins and bright acidity gives a silky polish and a very long finish. Approachable, but serious Margaret River Cabernet that punches well above its class.
