A number of different blocks came together to create this Margaret River classic. The different blocks were picked, crushed and fermented individually to get the best our of each parcel. Inoculated with a classic Bordeaux yeast strain, the aim of this wine was to let the fruit shine. The subtle oak influence with older French barrels for around 14 months, allowed the fruit to shine forward. Rich flavour profile of black fruits, spice and undertones of dusty oak. COLOUR: Dark red. NOSE: Enticing aromatic, dark fruit bouquet, with dominant dark cherry fragrances. PALATE: A rich flavour profile of black fruits, spice and undertones of dusty oak. The palate is soft, elegant and approachable, reflecting the 2021 season. Fine tannins offer a long, satisfying finish. VINTAGE: A challenging year with external pressure—in Margaret River the humidity required a rigorous approach to fruit selection. Winemakers and viticulturalists worked hand in hand to produce from pretty smart wines, including some elegant reds.
