This wine is brilliant and limpid and has a deep ruby color, a sign of great maturity. The nose is complex with notes of very ripe black fruits (blackberries, blackcurrant jelly, black cherry jam) and toasty and chocolate notes that enhance the feeling of jammy fruit by highlighting it. The attack is sweet, the mid-palate velvety and sweet and final of great length and tenderness. The tannins are racy and tender and the mouth is incredibly fresh, which gives a great balance. At the aromatic level, we find these very ripe fruits supported by toasted notes (toast) and roasted coffee. (The finish is long, persistent and leaves in the mouth a velvet impression despite its great youth and racy tannins).
